Data Scientist/Information Retrieval Engineer

Participate as member of an Engineering team, reporting to the Director or Vice President of Engineering.
Design and implement production quality code for mission critical NetSeer applications.
See a project through from the design stage to the finished product.
Design and implement novel large scale structured text processing and information retrieval tools

MS/PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, or Electrical Engineering
2+ years of experience in data mining, information retrieval, internet search, or related field or research in this area
Ability to work with big datasets with minimal engineering support
Strong knowledge of Java or C++ preferred
Highly motivated, self-driven, capable of defining own design and test scenarios
Experience with large scale data processing, data structure optimization and scalability of algorithms a plus
Experience with natural language processing, lexical analysis and semantic processing a plus
Experience with Hadoop and map/reduce a plus
